Internet Marketing Tips - Avoid Spamming People

AppId is over the quota

Avoid Spamming People

With so many people moving towards an online community to get goods and services, Internet marketing tips seem to be on the mind of small business owners and affiliate marketing talent alike. If you're in either one of those categories, it's important to look into options that will get your information into the eyes of millions of potential friends and customers. While some skeptics will scoff at the notion of getting free advertising, many large companies have figured out the best way to get promotion is to befriend others through free profiles on social networking websites.

Success without spamming people

Most recently, in an issue of Money Magazine, a small business was highlighted as getting an increase of 200% in profit through simply giving away their software in exchange for a social media shout out. With so many people taking advantage of this, and so many users talking about it on their social media page, the company become profitable nearly overnight, and millions of new potential customers came to their website and purchased other items.

If you want to duplicate that kind of success, you'll have to figure out what internet marketing tips will work for you and what won't. There are several do's and don'ts that are applicable to situations of marketing potential. For instance, you do want to engage people in conversation about what it is you and your company do, but you don't want it to be so transparent that you're selling something to someone. If you're not selling anything, but rather are trying to communicate with a new user base, you'll find that spamming people is easy.

If you simply send a message to a stranger, even if they seem interested, you could be labeled as a spam artist. In the marketing world, the spam title is a major blunder that you want to never have to deal with. Instead of sending people blind messages, make sure that you engage all friends and neighbors in any social networking site with sincerity, and do not mention what you're promoting for quite sometime.

Let the conversations happen over time, naturally. It will take some savvy, but you can get any one to be interested in your content, if you simply engage them at a social level that is not pretentious in any way. The easiest way to facilitate this is to simply comment on their posts, pictures, and communicate with them through simple questions and answers.

Don't over complicate it by spamming people; it's not that hard.

Internet Marketing - Use Message Boards

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

There are numerous concepts that come under the umbrella of Internet marketing like banner advertising, Search Engine Optimization, e-newsletter, etc. One of the simplest and least expensive strategies for online promotion is using message boards. In this article, we will discuss how message boards can be used as an Internet marketing strategy.

Message boards are basically online discussion sites which are used by people for online interaction to discuss their problems, learn new strategies, ask questions, provide advice, etc. These boards are developed by keeping particular niche in mind that can be anything like basket ball team, Internet marketing, essay writing, current events, jobs, television shows, etc. Message boards are popular among Internet marketers as these are used to reach the target audience.

Suppose there is a board that focuses on website promotion. So mostly people who are interested in promoting their website join this board to interact with other website owners and promoters to gain knowledge.

By actively participating in the message boards you get a good opportunity to promote your business and website. This is because while replying for a particular post you can place the link of your website at the end of the post that is in the signature line. This is important because there are numerous people who visit boards daily.

Before starting with the message board it is important to register with the site and check all the guidelines. Some message boards have strict guidelines which you have to follow to avoid termination of your membership. Take care to include links to your website wherever it is relevant. Do not make the board look spam by replying to all the posts by placing the link. If you do this, then the visitors may start ignoring your website or this can even lead to the termination of account.

Also, keep all the posts professional. This is because if you act professionally, then only other people will take your seriously and reply to your post. This does not mean that you just act professionally in the messages which include the link. You have to be professional in other posts also. Reply for the posts only if you are confident that the information you are providing is absolutely correct.

Message boards are the only marketing strategy that is simple and free.

Branding in the Internet Age - It's Much More Comprehensive Than You Think in the Virtual Realm

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

You know, as a former Franchisor, I almost feel as if I could teach a class on branding. Still, in the Internet age it's a whole different ballgame, it's not like the "old world" at all. Business moves at the speed of thought, and now social networking algorithms are predicting those thoughts in advance. Do you ever wonder how all this came to be in just a couple of decades? If so, there's a great book I'd like to recommend to you;

"eBrands - Building an Internet Business at Breakneck Speed," by Phil Carpenter, Harvard Business School Press, Boston, MA (2000), 301 pages, ISBN: 0-87584-929-6.

The author of this book is the CEO of Critical Path, a company that indeed has some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley as clients, and some extremely successful start-ups names for bragging rights. Thus, what he does have to say in this book whether you go for every line or argument or not - regardless you should listen to the wisdom, soak in the ideas, and it will make you a better brander and marketer once you are done reading.

In many ways this book seems to be dual purpose, explaining strategies and successes, and highlighting some of his clients. There are case study chapters on iVillage, CD Now, Barnes and Noble (dot) com, Yahoo!, Fogdog Sports, and OnSale (dot) com. The conclusion of the book is quite telling - honest and up close and personal, you almost feel as if you were there in the heat of battle during the case studies, and the conclusion sums it all up with important take-aways.

Throughout the book he explains the competitive threats, importance of reputation, and the exponential growth of brands on the verge of chaos, but growing by leaps and bounds. I'd say this book and the book in its eBook form which is also available it perfect for PR professionals, online start-ups, small business people, branding consultants, venture capitalists, and anyone trying to guess which start-up with online sales is worthy of investing in.

The best part of this book for me, and yes, I do have somewhat unusual tastes, was the journey behind the scenes, really getting to know the decisions being made in real time by those nudging the brand's path, while attempting not to turn off the momentum as it grew. The comparisons were also great, especially coming from the various interviews of those in the know, and on the ground floor of that fast moving battlespace of online branding and marketing.

Would I recommend this book to you? Yes, I would and I also own a copy sitting on my book case in my personal business library along with my other top branding and online marketing books. It deserves a space on that select row. Please consider all this and think on it.

My experience working in corporate America for the last 13 years has left me a bit jaded. Over the last four years I have been "let go" a total of three times. For over twenty years I have been involved in other business opportunities. However, none really created the income I desired as I wanted to let my wife have a choice. This is why I started my own internet business. This is also why I started writing. My enjoyment of writing led me to create our blog which is morganandchioma.com. Hopefully my story will help inspire you to discover a better alternative as I did. Being your own boss, working from where ever you feel. A business online gave me the opportunity to spend more time with my wife..instead of 5am, commute w/ traffic, underpaid, underwhelmed, overworked, not appreciated...you get the idea. My wife and I are very excited about the business we are putting together online at http://yoursuccessstoryonline.com/

Internet Marketing - If I Knew Then What I Know Now

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Internet Marketing - it's a business where most who dare go, fail.

Someone asked me today if when I first became involved in Internet Marketing I knew then what I know now, would I still have joined the industry - the answer was a quick NO!!

However, before you click away thinking to yourself "see I knew this was no good" I have to say that I am glad in a way that I didn't know. Because that's exactly right - I would never have dived right in like I did, I would have been overwhelmed by the failure rate, overwhelmed by the learning curve, overwhelmed by the hard work it would take to become successful.

I would never have believed that I could be that person, that person who could succeed in this business. I would never have become the person that I am today. I would never have achieved the growth that I have achieved.

So do I have any regrets about joining the Internet Marketing Industry?
No way. I am a bit like that - I jump into things with blind faith. I'm not one for reading the small print, let alone a bit of research. So I couldn't wait to get started, let me in, what is it all about, I want to know it all!!

And I have learned slowly - no trailblazing here that's for sure. I did it the hard way. But I have found my way, challenged myself to learn things that I never thought I would be capable of doing. It took me a long while to realize what it actually took to succeed and for me to accept the amount of work that was required. Once I had that realisation, I was on a completely different path - the right path.

Would I change anything? Yes, of course. Even though I wouldn't have wanted all the facts, I do wish that I had been given a bit more direction, more structure when I first started - guidance I guess. I remember how this was, so I can make sure that my new team members are not left floundering! I have an entire system and community of people to support me now.

I also wish that I had been given more information than I was given when I first joined Internet Marketing. As I said I am not a facts and figures person, but I could have handled a little bit more of the truth!!

So it is with that in mind that I give this information to you - or anyone considering getting into the internet and/or network marketing industry:

It is tough and yes, many people barely make any money, some none, lots lose moneyIn the beginning it takes real dedication to create success - you will be tested! You need to be teachable - it doesn't matter what you know already, just that you can learnDetermination is your best friendSupport is absolutely key to your success. Training, systems, mentoring - that guidance that I was lacking at firstAccept that you will need to work on yourself - grow and develop as a person, your mindset is another key factor here

Internet Marketing is a great industry and the possibilities are endless. You can be a success or a failure and that is basically a choice that is yours.

My recommendation? Jump in with all you've got!! But be prepared to work hard, be frustrated, doubt yourself and reset your expectations at times.

Fore-warned is fore-armed. This is not an industry for the faint-hearted, you will need to give it all that you have and more. So if your dream is big, then go for it. I always say "Don't die wondering".

Internet Marketing could just be your dream job!

Internet Business Opportunities: Readers, AdSense and Congruent Content

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

I read recently that The Daily Mail's website has become the most viewed online newspaper, even though it brings in around $25million annually it still didn't make a profit. Neither does the Huffington Post which was bought by AOL for ?315million.

So why are these content rich sites not making a profit? I am a big believer that content sites can and should make big money. Why would AOL buy them up if they don't have any revenue potential?

I believe it is one of congruency; the possible revenue and advertising on these sites do not match up to the types of people who visit these sites. There are many sites that are filled with content and that have millions of visitors. The Huffington Post has reported having over 30 million unique visitors per month!

That is a staggering amount, having that many visitors requires more than a ?30 a year website, they will need their own servers and staff, it won't be cheap but how can they not earn a profit from 30 million monthly visitors?

Sites like Photobucket and Icanhavecheezburger are content sites that rely on people uploading and sharing photos, we use Photobucket for nothing more than free storage for our pictures. The one thing that I notice when I am uploading the pictures is that the advertising is not related to anything on the site or what I desire.

We believe the type of adverts are those where the network is paid every time an advert is shown for longer than several seconds, that is why they often display the please wait while we process/upload your photo. It stops you moving to another page before the intended time has passed. So I cannot say whether Photobucket makes money or not.

The Daily Mail and Huffington post are sites that share news and gossip, so if you were reading about a train crash somewhere or what Kim Kardashian is up to you are not going to be shown any relevant adverts or be interested in any that are shown around the posts.

Google AdSense is designed to show adverts that are relevant to the content of your site; if it cannot match to the content then it will show ads that in reality will not be clicked. The methodology is all wrong. The online business opportunity of a content rich site is still a sound idea if done right.

Creating a successful content rich site

This is still a fantastic small home business idea and can be executed well if you decide exactly what it is you want to do and how you are going to do it. Thinking that you will create a site that has loads of pictures of funny cats, (everyone loves a funny cat picture/video) surround it with advertising and get loads of money from visitors just won't do.

Someone looking at funny cat pictures who is 14 probably won't want to click on a 'Mature Dating' ad and someone who enjoys looking at badly done plastic surgery pictures is unlikely to want life insurance.

However someone, one who loves Barcelona, may be a regular visitor to a site dedicated to all things Barcelona. They would love to read about restaurants in Barcelona and places to visit. They may also be planning on visiting Barcelona again; they may go regularly, so any adverts that appear on the site for flights to Barcelona, car hire, villas to rent or hotel accommodation in Barcelona are more likely to get clicked.

When a site covers a topic or place like Barcelona it can draw great relevant adverts from the AdSense network. Adverts for holidays, accommodation and flights could be higher paying as there is a lot of competition and there are higher profits involved so the companies can pay more to get their ads shown.

It is possible that you could use Google AdWords to drive traffic to your site cheaper than any of the hotel or villa hire companies as you will be focusing more on the people and the place itself. You won't be trying to compete for the expensive keywords associated with hotels, flights or holidays.

It may be possible to have a set up where you put ?1 in and get ?2 out on autopilot. If you can pay for traffic to the site and get more back in advertising revenue then you are effectively creating profit and a huge traffic surge that will eventually start coming back for free!

They idea is that everything has to match. You may never get the numbers that Icanhascheezburger.com gets as there are larger numbers of people who can enjoy and share cat pictures than those who are interested in a proper sub niche however your numbers will be more matched to the advertising.

The same can be applied to many types of websites, take DIY as an example, a site with plenty of 'how to' articles will pull up advertising for DIY stores and DIY products, which can cover a wide range of things, and many can be high priced items.

The idea is to add content regularly, this could be done by paying someone to write posts if you can't do them yourself or get some close interested friends to share the work load. Go to Gumtree and look for people who would like to become profit share writers.

Adding content is the most important thing; the website must be seen to be alive and living. Otherwise people will not return and the website will slip down the rankings into oblivion.

There are so many niches and places out there that you can create a website around. Like everything, planning and work will come before the success but it must be done and it can be done easily if you have a plan to follow. There are millions of people on the internet and they don't all go to the same websites.

Ian McConnell made $300,000 from a website dedicated to model trains and Patrick Meninga built a $2,000 a month AdSense site about addiction which he then sold for $200,000. At a Christening I was told about a couple who travel the world funded by earnings from a couple of sites, one focusing on dog walking! So don't you go thinking it isn't possible.

Think about all the different niches there are, use me as an example, I love dance music, there are so many genres available to choose from, I love making music, I love graphic design, I love graffiti art, I love Thailand and Ibiza, I love to travel, I love Sci-Fi, I love to write, I love Indian food, I love Chinese food, I love pizza, I love food!! Lol I am also vegetarian. There are more I could add to this list.

There are so many things that I could have a blog/website about. List down all the things you like and enjoy and you could find something suitable that you could create a blog dedicated to it and as you know, if you love something you are more likely to participate so writing about something you love will be easier than writing about things you don't. That is half the battle won!

Internet Marketing Bible for Accountants by Nick Pendrell

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

My resolution this year was to knuckle down and do something to bring in some new clients for my practice, so I was pleased to see that Internet Marketing Bible for Accountants looked like it might point me in the right direction. I am happy to say that it has lived up to all of its promises.

I had bought a couple of more general books about online marketing in the past to try and learn the best way of promoting my business, but I found them very heavy going and was not able to get past the first few chapters of either of them, so it was a relief when I found that the Internet Marketing Bible was written for people like me who only had the very basic ideas as to how websites work.

Another advantage that this book has over the others is that it is written specifically for accountants and so the ideas that are covered in the book are only concerned with finding clients locally. The author doesn't bother with marketing methods that are more useful for reaching an audience which is national or international, such as blogging or starting a Youtube channel. The book also assumes that the reader has very little money to spend on their marketing activities. The vast majority of methods the writer suggests are either free or cost just a few dollars per month.

The book starts off with instructions as to what to do before starting a campaign. The most useful part of this chapter for me was some very simple but useful advice on how to write copy that really sells. Although there were just a few pages of information, it really told me where I had been going wrong while trying to write the text for the website in the past.

The main part of the book is divided into two main sections. The first section is about social media and covers sites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. There's also a chapter on Google+ which I didn't know much about before reading this book. I already have a personal Facebook account and a profile on LinkedIn and so it was not difficult to understand how to make pages for my practice as well. The author does say not to expect fast results from a social media campaign, but I can see how it will achieve results over time, particularly LinkedIn which I never realized before how useful a tool it was for local professionals.

The second half of the book is more about websites and how to make the most use of them. Although I have had a website for a few years, I had never really managed to get many new clients from it. After reading this book, I now know why! Reading the 'Do's' and 'Don't' in the book made me realize that I had made a lot of mistakes while setting up the site which I am now in the process of fixing.

The part of the book about websites and getting the most out of them is more technical than the first half about social media - it's not something that you can skim through quickly and know all there is to do as there is so much to it. However, by working through each of the chapters one by one with the book in my hand, I found that I was able to understand the process of how to make sure that my site will appear high up in the search engines and also how to run a campaign using Google Adwords without spending a lot of money while getting nothing in return. The chapter describing how to get listed on Google Places was a real eye-opener - it only took me an afternoon to get my practice listed there and on a lot of other listing sites too.

In summary, Internet Marketing Bible for Accountants is a book that I can see myself coming back to week after week as I put more and more of the strategies into action. I can highly recommend it as a wonderful and valuable resource for any accountant wanting to put together an effective online marketing plan.

Book Review: Marketing Lessons From The Grateful Dead - Sugaree For Internet Marketing

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Marketing Lessons From The Grateful Dead by David Meerman Scott and Brian Halligan is hawked as "presenting (sic) the most compelling case study in the history of social media and inbound marketing based on the band that pioneered it all." It's true. Sugaree lives,

Before we had a name for 'inbound marketing' or 'social media,' the Dead knew what it was and how to work it.

They stood out from their competition by being different and being themselves. If you ever attended a concert where Jerry forgot some words, they made even their lifestyle a unique service that embraced who they were, without apology and with an ?clat never since replicated.

The book begins with a foreword from ostensibly the world's biggest Deadhead, though there are many contenders for that title. It's hard to argue with basketball legend, Bill Walton, at 6'11" who saw the band over 750 times. Read the forward; you won't be able to put the book down.

Halligan, a marketing expert and HubSpot CEO, comments on the inspiration for the collaborative writing effort: We (sic)... " had been talking about the Grateful Dead as social media pioneers in the days before the Web... We collaborated on a HubSpot webinar and the tremendous feedback showed us that this concept really resonates with people."

That resonation makes sense. The Dead's fan base was/is the baby boomer population, now approaching retirement. This population sector is a powerful online presence. It is also a population sector that embraced the 'live for today', instant gratification mindset and is notoriously underfunded for approaching retirement.

Many of this generation would like to retire earlier to enjoy retirement years before health declines kick in. They have deferred savings in deference to their engaged existence in the present. Marketing Lessons From The Grateful Dead is likely to resonate strongly with them.

Specific chapters address such ideas as challenging prevailing industry assumptions. Remember how you could tape a Dead concert without risk or problems? The band considered it a compliment and even encouraged it. They even had a special taping section.

Turn your customers into followers. Bypass traditional marketing networks and go direct. The new online social media is paving the way in this endeavor.

Customer experience is now called "branding." Dead concerts were an interactive experience, a personal connection between the Band and the audience. This is the optimal relationship of successful internet marketing today.

For the Dead generation that didn't save for retirement, think again, like Jerry. Read this book. Take it to heart.

You can take the lessons pioneered by the Dead and build something now with no regrets later and validation for the way you've lived your life to date.

Marketing Lessons shows you how to build supplemental income if you take the lessons seriously and apply them.

Start building that income now and you can sit back by the fire and rock on to "Uncle John's Band," though your grand kids prefer Lady Gaga. Sugaree lives.

When promoting your business online, are you using internet marketing? If you have yet to spread your branches into the online world, you ought to consider doing so. This blog article will help you understand the basics of Internet marketing, which in turn will help you develop your online marketing strategies.

TIP! Find a unique and clever way to make your article promotional. Readers love it when a writer/site owner tries something new and interesting. Site wide links are links that found on all of your website's pages. Generally, you should place them on the bottom of a page. If you have a page on your site that you would like everyone to view, you should implement site wide links. They will be able to see the site-wide links at the bottom. A menu is the best way to direct customers to your website. An organized menu with descriptions for each link is most effective.

TIP! Offer a free short report as an incentive to sign-up to your newsletter. You or a hired writer can write the report, but it will entice possible customers to sign up to get e-mails from you. Understanding and implementing Meta tags can be an important component for any web-based business owner. Your visitors do not see Meta tags, but search engines recognize them to categorize your website. Because the very first Meta tags you put in are the most important, you should make sure they are relevant and of high quality. Never use too many Meta tags, and use alternative tags when necessary. The best method of locating and using the most effective Meta tags is to do research and know what you are trying to promote. Remember this when you are looking at how you should market your website.

TIP! Stay consistent with your writer's voice. If you want to establish yourself as an authority in article marketing, you have to develop a consistent writing voice that is easily recognizable. HTML tags are useful for many things. The essential H tag marks the most important text. This tag allows the characters to show up as bold which will make them stand out from the rest of your text. You should place these tags in titles and meaningful paragraphs, as well as for subsection titles. Readers will be more likely to read your content if you do this. Search engine spiders will follow these tags to find important keywords. Make certain you use keywords in your titles.

TIP! Get a plug-in for Twitter that will automate sending your content links to your twitter feed. This is especially important if you are a prolific writer and adding tons of content each day. Promote your services by using methods you have never tried. Many Internet marketers stick to the proven SEO and marketing tactics. However, you should explore all your options.

TIP! Do not become discouraged if you cannot get your thoughts organized for your articles. Everyone experiences some form of writer's block now and then. The internet is unique in its culture in that, occasionally, a website, video or even a picture will become a "buzz". Viral material is material used and shared by a large number of people. This may be a temporary advantage, but this material can really boost your sales activity while it lasts.

There is no way to know what will be popular. However, do your best to create new and fun content, and encourage people to share it on YouTube and social media sites. Search popular content on the video, and you will be able to tell what things your customers want to see. This article contains a sampling of the techniques you can use with internet marketing. Use these strategies as a starting point, and keep searching for more ways to make your campaigns even better.

Internet Marketing Strategies - Keyword Research

AppId is over the quota

One of my top tips for anyone starting out online or setting up a business is to put together a sound marketing strategy plan. But before you do this, I want to let you in on one of THE most important internet marketing strategies you will ever learn.

Keyword Research - Keyword Research is the most important foundation of any business in today's markets. be it an online business or an offline business, your internet marketing strategies are going to prove to be the lifeblood of your research and planning when setting up.

A solid approach keyword research will show you in an instant whether there is a market out there for your product or service, and will determine the profitability of your future marketing campaigns.

Sounds like a strong statement doesn't it?

I'm sorry to say, but it's true. For those of you who put little to no thought into, OR who don't understand the high significance of keywords, in their internet marketing strategy, the keyword research you do before getting one single web page up will have a tremendous impact on how well you market to your target audience.

If you're an offline business (purely shopfront) you will need to consider implementing keyword research into your marketing strategy before you start, as most consumers now search online for their product or service before purchase or physical visits to businesses.

No pressure.

So - you're probably wondering "why is this keyword research so darned important to my internet marketing Strategies?"

Imagine for one moment that you own a Web Design Company and you've been invited to speak at an event.

You turn up, ultra prepared, notes in hand to deliver the presentation of your life.

You step out in front of the 200 or so attendees, everything goes to plan, and you speak ever so compellingly for about 25 minutes.

When you are finished, the crowd claps nicely...almost out of obligation. Everyone leaves their seat immediately, and heads to the hotel bar, leaving you standing their, no questions to answer, no-one to follow up, no exciting after speech buzz to attend to.

You're knocked sideways. It was your best presentations to date! You were compelling, but not too sales-y. You presented the problems with no pitch, and you managed to outline the available solutions, before unveiling your perfect product to fit the bill.

So, what happened?

The people you were presenting to weren't expecting you...they were waiting on someone else who was going to present about business network marketing. They don't even understand and weren't interested in your area of expertise and had little or no interest in your product.

Put simply.....this wasn't YOUR audience. This was not your target market.

You had everything prepared...you had perfectly prepared, presented and led right to the obvious solution...your product. But you were in front of the wrong people.
But how does this relate to keyword research as part of my internet marketing strategy?

People who visit your site are a direct relation to the keywords you are optimizing for. If you only tell search engines about your company name, how will people looking for your services find you?

For example - Say you're a trendy hairdressers called 'Zap Cuts' and you build your website stuffed with Zap Cuts specials and Zap Cuts Pricelist etc, you're not directing it towards your consumer. Your target market are not looking for 'Zap Cuts' They are looking for "Hairdressers."

By setting out Keyword research as the most important part of your internet marketing strategy, you will determine what phrases people are searching for that have the problem for your solution. They are searching for "perfect pick up lines" or "golf swing techniques" not "The Potty Putter." They don't even know you company even exists!

And, unless you do effective keyword research and optimize your site for it, they never will.

So, how do you go about finding the right keywords to research? Put yourself in your customers shoes. If you were someone out there with the problem your product solves, what would you be searching for?

"How to perfect my golf swing"

"Free Dog Training Guide"

"Best Art Museums"

"Traditional kids toyshops"

These keywords are the search terms your customers are using to find YOUR BUSINESS. These are the terms you need to incorporate in your Internet Marketing plan.

Of course, keyword research doesn't end there. There are many internet marketing courses and marketing skills you can use in conjunction with KW research that will compliment your findings and enhance your ability to translate the necessary action you need to take to optimize your website and online marketing campaigns.

Simple Method For Internet Marketing

Internet Marketing can be very rewarding and fun. There are a few different methods that you can follow to achieve your goals. Remember it is always a good idea to think outside the box and try some new methods yourself. A lot of people are lured into the idea that marketing can be automated and you don't have to put any time into it. This is totally false if you have been sold on this idea then you are destined to failure. No matter what type of job you do there is a certain amount of work you have to put into it this is the same for making money online.

One method that I have had a lot of luck with is, using a squeeze page. Squeeze pages are set up to collect info from the visitors such as emails and names, usually if people fill out the form they are given a free gift of some sort such as a news letter, ebook, video etc etc... Building a list can bring you alot of success. Sending out emails from your auto answer is much more effective then sending out a tweet on twitter, think about it people can just ignore your tweets but it is pretty hard to ignore email messages. My favorite part with this method is it is very quick and simple to set up. The main focus of your squeeze page should be to set it up to convert. Make people want to fill out your opt in form give them a gift that is to good to pass up.

The next obstacle to overcome is to get a steady flow of traffic to your page. My suggestion here is to get your link out there. You can do this by forum posting with a link added to your site in your signature, promote on social networking sites, and blog commenting don't get me wrong there are several ways to bring traffic to your site like I said before, think outside the box. Forum posting may take some time before you start seeing results but the wait is well worth it. Make sure you are posting interesting content within the forum so people will take notice. This goes the same for social networking make your tweets on twitter interesting enough for people to take notice, like I said above it is pretty easy to ignore to tweet. And blog posting this can work just like forums and it also adds a one way link to your site so it works out real well for you. Keep your post on the topic and interesting the rest will take care of itself.

So as long as you do a good amount of research and promote your site well you can make a very descent living online. Don't lose your focus, keep your head up and have a little patience it will all pay off for you as long as you do not give up. There is plenty of help out there just look for it.

Cheers,
Woody
